The interior design process follows a systematic and coordinated methodology, including research, analysis and integration of knowledge into the creative process, whereby the needs and resources of the client are satisfied to produce an interior space that fulfills the project goals.


1. Post Graduate Diploma In Interior Design (PGDIID)- 800 hours

Eligibility Criteria : Graduation
Duration : 12 months [Inclusive of 3 months apprenticeship]
Age Limit : NIL
The one year Post Graduate Diploma in Interior Design course has been divided into 4 trimesters. And three trimesters can be divided into part A and part B. Out of the 4 trimesters, 3 trimesters will be consisting of academic training. The remaining one term will be industrial training which will provide an exposure to students into the real stream of Interior Designing and on the job training

Basic Design, Acoustics, Theory of Materials, Illumination, plumbing ,Ventilation, Theory of colors & sanitation, Air conditioning, Fine Arts, Furniture Design & joinery, Interior Scaping,
Space standards, Kitchen Design, Painting Interiors, Ergonomics &Anthropometrics, fessional Practice etc,.
Along with theory following software programmes are also included .

2. Advance Diploma In Interior Design [ ADIID of DiiD]- 440 hours
Eligibility : Plus Two/ITI

Duration : 8 months [Inclusive of 2 months apprenticeship]
The 8 months Advance Diploma in Interior Design course is divided into 4 terms of academic training. Out of the 4 trimesters, 3 trimesters will be consisting of academic training. The remaining one term will be industrial training.

Syllabus includes: History of Interior Design, Construction Techniques, Basic Design, Fixtures & Finishes, Theory Materials, Illumination, plumbing, sanitation, Theory of colors, Space Standards
Kitchen Design, Acoustics, ventilation & Air conditioning. etc,.

3. Diploma In Interior Design [ DIID of DiiD] -340 hours
Eligibility : SSLC
Duration : 6 months
The 6 months Diploma in Interior Design course is divided into 3 semesters.

Syllabus includes: History of Interior Design , Basic Design ,Fixtures & Finishes, Theory Materials, Illumination,plumbing,sanitation , Theory of colors, Fine Arts, Space Standards, Kitchen Design etc,.

Softwares includes: Auto CAD ,Sketchup-Vray,

4. Certificate course in Interior Design (150 hours)

Duration: 3 Months (on all Sundays)

Eligibility: SSLC- Professionals having one year experience in this field
No age limit
This course is meant for the designers who are already in this field are having working knowledge but they don’t have very little knowledge of theory . Such category of people can join this course. Most of them don’t have any authentic proof that they are in this field. KitCo Assocham Consortium is our certification agency. They will conduct the final exam on the basis of the syllabus they have issued.

Exam details:

After each term end , Internal Exam conducted by the Institute and the marks scored in the internal exam will be given 20% weightage in the final exam conducted by KitCo .

Exam Pattern:

1.PG Diploma: (12 Months)

Total 5 papers for 3 hours each for the exam and 3 practicals of 3 hours each and for design problem 48hours

2.Advance Diploma: (8Months)

Total 4 papers and 2 Practicals of 2 hours each and for design problem 48hours

3. Diploma : (6 Months)

Total 3 Papers and 2 hours practicals and for design problem 48hours

4. Certificate Course : (3 Months)

Total 2 papers and 2 hours practicals

Market surveys, case studies, seminars , assignments, Design projects are also the part of these courses and on the basis of this the students will have to prepare the portfolio- which contains the work they have done. On the basis of this portfolio final VivaVoc will be conducted by an external Jury from an Architectural college.

KitCo Assocham Consortium is our certification agency. They will conduct the final exam on the basis of the syllabus they have issued.

Final exam will be conducted by KitCo and the certificates will be issued by KitCo-Assocham Consortium .

Final examination will be held at the end of the academic programme. A minimum of 80% attendance in theory and practical classes and proper submission of project assignments and satisfactory performance in the term end examinations will only enable a student to appear for the final examination.

To appear for the final examination, a student must have also paid the prescribed examination fee in full. Final Examination will be conducted by KITCO – ASSOCHAM Consortium. The students who secure 60% aggregate marks shall be placed under First Class and those with 80% aggregate marks shall be placed under Distinction.


• Issue of course completion certificate

After completing the course successfully, the Institute will issue a Course Completion Certificate to the students if necessary.

• Issue of PGDIID/ADIID/DIID/CCIID Certificate and mark lists

PGDIID/ADIID/DIID/CCIID – Certificate and mark lists shall be issued by the examining body of the KITCO – ASSOCHAM consortium after successful completion of the prescribed course and examination.

5.Short Term Course :
Eligibility Criteria: Aptitude for Design and Creating Beautiful Space/ Diploma in engineering or related disciplines/ Work experience in the related fields

Duration : 45 Hours . Age Limit : NIL

Topics :  Materials used in Interior Designing/Basic Design Composition/Plumbing/Lighting/ Building protection and Annual Maintenance/Colors and Painting Interior Design/ Interior Furnishing/ Security Devices/ Effective organization of Space in Residence/ Professional Practice/ Customer Psychology/ New Material Awareness.
