INTERIOR DESIGN

A multi-faced profession in which creative and technical solutions are applied within a structure to achieve a built interior environment and home lifestyle enhancement. The interior design process follows a systematic and coordinated methodology, including research, analysis and integration of knowledge into the creative process, whereby the needs and resources of the client are satisfied to produce an interior space that fulfills the project goals.

 

COURSES OFFERED :
1. Post Graduate Diploma In Interior Design (PGDIID)

Eligibility Criteria : Graduation
Duration : 12 months [Inclusive of 3 months apprenticeship]
Age Limit : NIL
The one year Post Graduate Diploma in Interior Design course has been divided into 4 trimesters. And three trimesters can be divided into part A and part B. Out of the 4 trimesters, 3 trimesters will be consisting of academic training. The remaining one term will be industrial training which will provide an exposure to students into the real stream of Interior Designing and on the job training.
2. Advance Diploma In Interior Design [ ADIID of DiiD]
Eligibility : Plus Two/ITI
Duration : 8 months [Inclusive of 2 months apprenticeship]
The 8 months Advance Diploma in Interior Design course is divided into 4 terms of academic training. Out of the 4 trimesters, 3 trimesters will be consisting of academic training. The remaining one term will be industrial training.
3. Diploma In Interior Design [ DIID of DiiD]
Eligibility : SSLC
Duration : 6 months
The 6 months Diploma in Interior Design course is divided into 3 semesters.

4. Certificate Course in Interior Design [CCIID of DiiD]
Eligibility : SSLC with Experience in this field.
Duration : 3 months

The Learner will be internally assessed through the assignments and term end examinations conducted by the Institute with 20% weightage.

FINAL EXAMINATION
Final examination will be held at the end of the academic programme. A minimum of 80% attendance in theory and practical classes and proper submission of project assignments and satisfactory performance in the term end examinations will only enable a student to appear for the final examination.

To appear for the final examination, a student must have also paid the prescribed examination fee in full. Final Examination will be conducted by KITCO – ASSOCHAM Consortium. The students who secure 60% aggregate marks shall be placed under First Class and those with 80% aggregate marks shall be placed under Distinction.

 

ISSUE OF CERTIFICATE
• Issue of course completion certificate
After completing the course successfully, the Institute will issue a Course Completion Certificate to the students.
• Issue of PGDIID/ADIID/DIID/CCIID Certificate and mark lists
PGDIID/ADIID/DIID/CCIID Certificate and mark lists shall be issued by the examining body of the KITCO – ASSOCHAM consortium after successful completion of the prescribed course and examination.

 

3.Short Term Course :
Eligibility Criteria: Aptitude for Design and Creating Beautiful Space/ Diploma in engineering or related disciplines/ Work experience in the related fields
Duration : 10 Hours . Age Limit : NIL
Topics :  Materials used in Interior Designing/Basic Design Composition/Plumbing/Lighting/ Building protection and Annual Maintenance/Colors and Painting Interior Design/ Interior Furnishing/ Security Deices/ Effective organization of Space in Residence/ Professional Practice/ Customer Psychology/ New Material Awareness.

4. Software Programs

Topics : – AutoCAD/3Ds MAX & Vray/Revit/SketchUp & Vray/Photoshop

5. Short Term Refreshment Course In Interior Design
Duration : 45 Hours
Eligibility : Aptitude for Interior Design
Session Timings : Friday & Saturday

6. NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) Training
Eligibility: +2 .10th passed students can also appear for NATA exam. But for getting admission in B.Arch course they should pass +2 with 50% marks and Mathematics as one of the subjects and have to qualify Engineering Entrance Examination.
